Sponsorship Opportunites WOMEN: LEADING THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY The newly formed Maryland Women in Technology (MDWIT), and the Technology Council of Maryland are hosting a one day forum on Tuesday, March 25, 2008, to highlight the opportunities for women in Maryland in information technology, engineering, manufacturing, and related areas. The event will target three groups of women:
We believe the outcomes will have a significant impact on the development of new technology start-up companies in Maryland, help to address the anticipated labor shortages of skilled technology personnel, and on the global level expand conversations in support of increased competitiveness of today’s technology related businesses. Businesses will have the opportunity to recruit students studying technology and engineering fields and also have the opportunity to network with professionals and entrepreneurs currently in the field. They will be able to share their current programs for encouraging and retaining women in their workforce as well as find out what students and professionals are looking for in a company.
